Hihi! I'm convinced that working in an organization doesn't mean you need to turn into a corporate drone, obey your village elders, track your work in that tool, and risk dying of boredom.
Instead, I believe that it's absolutely possible to win in the corporate world while still being YOU. How? By practicing the ancient art of Intrapreneurship.
Currently, I am building an AI extensibility program at Microsoft to enable developers to reason over their OWN data using our AI and Copilot products.
Previously, I ran the Accessibility tech and Inclusive Design investments for all of Microsoft, making sure that the 1 billion+ people with disabilities AND so many of us with Neurodivergence and Mental Health concerns can count on tech to be our trusty sidekick.
Before this, I led an advocacy team for the Power Platform at Microsoft, a toolset specifically for intrapreneurs to solve their business problems. Job->Prev->Prev, I was the Chief #NinjaCat of the Windows Insider Program at Microsoft, one of the biggest communities of people in the world (21 million people!) who act as the tech influencer for everyone in their lives. And a long time ago, in a land very close to here, I worked on developer engagement for HoloLens, the world's first holographic computer. I've been in the tech industry for over a dozen years (yes, I'm old), and despite my decades of shenanigans, I remain unfired (and unjailed!)
I spend my side-hustle time writing fiction and non-fiction books to help young professionals have the careers of their dreams, running an ethical luxury fashion line for women AND men called Prima Dona, coaching entrepreneurs in emerging markets, saying words on stages all over the world, and coming up with some REALLY scheme-y schemes.
My favorite, FAVORITE job is being a bossy big sister to thousands of amazing humans who want to #DoTheThing.
Fast Company’s says I'm one of their Most Productive People (shrug)
